Katie Stickney Watson, LMHC
Therapist, Supervisor, Consultant
I have been providing psychotherapy since 2009 and clinical supervision since 2014. In that time I have been deeply moved to witness the power of human resilience, courage, and power in the face of adversity. It is my honor to walk with you on whatever part of your path you choose to invite me along with, to help you connect with your body, mind, and spirit’s natural capacity for wisdom, growth, and healing. I welcome people of all identities, experiences, cultures, religious traditions (including none or former), political orientations, ability, age, etc! You—and all parts of you—are welcome with me, whether you are seeking counseling, supervision, consulting, or something else.
I primarily draw from EMDR, Parts Work, Polyvagal Theory, Neuroscience, and Somatic practices, with a foundation in Psychodynamic, Person-Centered, and Feminist counseling theories.

Intern Therapist
People seek therapy for many reasons. Chances are that you are going through an especially difficult time. Perhaps you are seeking clarity about your identity or current place in life. You could be dealing with experiences in your past that have come back up to trouble you. You may be in a couple or multi-partner relationship that is struggling with communication and connection. You might be feeling stuck or not know which way to turn. Whatever your motivation for reaching out, I am here to hold a safe and supportive space for you as you find your way forward in life.
Modalities: I take an integrative, collaborative approach to counseling. My grounding is in Relational Cultural Therapy, which holds that disconnection and isolation are inherently harmful, and that growth occurs through and toward relationships. Our focus will be on authenticity, mutual empathy, and mutual empowerment as we work to foster healing and growth. Specific techniques we use will be tailored to your needs and what will best support you. These may include EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), or Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
Focus: I work with adults of all genders for individual or relationship counseling. Therapy with me is trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and weight-neutral. I welcome people of all cultural backgrounds and social identities into my therapy practice.

Intern Therapist
Trying out therapy can feel like a leap of faith. It will require trust in the therapist, in the process of therapy, and in oneself. To most people, parts of therapy will understandably feel hard. Therapy is a unique space where we create safety for you to practice new levels of honesty, openness, and vulnerability. This process can uncover old, and evoke new, emotional experiences. Finding ways to understand and even befriend these feelings is one of the valuable skills that therapy could help you develop. This process of self expression and discovery can also create a blueprint for a future that is more enjoyable for you.
We all have universal human needs and through therapy sessions, you will have opportunities to understand yours and how to have them met. I can't tell you exactly where this journey will lead you, but I can tell you that I will be right by your side, bringing a collaborative, open, and compassionate presence, to create a space that feels safe and peaceful for you to engage in this exploration.
So, you may be wondering: what will we do in therapy sessions? In therapy sessions, you and I will strive to see and know who you want to be and what kind of life you want to live. We will make space for you to identify goals, aspirations, passions, and dreams, and gently identify and address what gets in the way of you achieving them. Together, we will welcome your joy and your grief, your hope and your fear, your strength and your needs for support.
A bio is a valuable introduction for you to learn a bit about me, and I would love to learn more about you. If this resonates with you, reach out and we can have a conversation to discuss more in depth if therapy is something you’d like to begin and if I’m the right fit for you.
I warmly welcome adults of all ages, life experiences, and cultural backgrounds!
Modalities: My approach is strengths-based, client-centered, curious, and compassionate. I lean on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic therapy, and Narrative therapy. I will be training in EMDR in Summer-Fall of 2025.

Tipli
Tipli prefers to provide a more supportive, comforting presence behind the scenes. Though you may rarely see her, you will occasionally hear her as she utilizes her favorite somatic intervention of vocalization to remind all of us to remain connected to our needs for things like nourishment and play.
-
Kaipo
Kaipo models the importance of advocating for oneself by communicating her needs with chirpy meows, rumbly purring, and through nonverbal communication such as climbing to the highest bookshelf or a gentle chomp as a reminder to maintain boundaries. She is deeply committed to nurturing connection with loved ones, demanding cuddles on a regular basis.
-
Bruno
Bruno encourages clients to playfully explore boundaries through games of tug-of-war and chase. His love for walks is a reminder of the importance of sensory engagement with nature, with its regulating effect on our nervous system. Bruno's enjoyment of bacon, belly rubs, and naps illustrates how pleasure can guide us toward self-care, resilience, and joy.

Sammy
Now retired, Sammy enjoyed modeling the importance of rest and co-regulation by napping in the therapist's arms. Operating from a play therapy lens, Sammy also frequently expressed his oral sensory needs through biting, ensuring everyone's attention remained on the present moment.
